Outer space looks a lot like a shiny version of 1960s public sculpture, or “plop art,” as it has been notoriously referred to in variety of sources, but my favorite is Miwon Kwon in One Place after Another.

Finnish artist Tea Makipaa created a potentially much scarier and immediate reality with her constructed scenario of screaming passengers trapped inside a flaming car – here a vintage Mercedes.
