Travel Diaries: James Richards at Rodeo Gallery (Istanbul, Turkey)
I became familiar with Rodeo Gallery at the INDEPENDENT art fair earlier this year. Rodeo became involved with scandal last year when several people who attended an opening were attacked; the gallery, like many other creative organizations, finds its home in a socially conservative neighborhood.
Mirko, the gallerist featured in these images, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly – a lesson for anyone aspiring to work in a gallery.
